STORIES FROM THE MARGINS PROJECT 2003

Stories from the MarginsStories from the Margins began as a weekly writing and art workshop. Two groups met once a week for four months facilitated by local writer and artist, Dorothy Field. An exhibit of the art was held September 2-5, 2003 at Martin Batchelor Gallery Studio. Following the exhibit, the writing was edited down to a 56-page booklet which also includes a half-hour CD of audio taped stories.

The Opening: photos and commentary

The Art: gallery of paintings, photography, and projects

The late Jannit Rabinovitch, Project Coordinator and one of the founders of PEERS, was responsible for the concept, development, and coordination of the Stories from the Margins Project. Artist and writer Dorothy Field was project facilitator and teacher along with guest teachers Crystal Cook, Margo Farr and Candice Graham. Deb and Yvonne acted as assistant coordinators throughout the project.
